Final Cut Pro X 10.0.3 released today

Apple released Final Cut Pro X today. It’s been pretty hectic here because we also launched our all-new website today. Oh yeah and we also updated our iPhone app today too. So we’ve been working hard to make sure that everything is functioning properly for our website and haven’t had much time to explore the new features that have been added to the recent Final Cut Pro X update. Let’s touch base on a the highlights for now and then I’ll come back and write some more once I’ve had a chance to let the dust settle with our own website updates.

So here’s the rundown of the new features that are available.

FCP 7 projects can be converted to FCP X
It looks like this update will be able to integrate XML 1.1 with FCP via Intelligent Assistance, the company owned by video guru Philip Hodgetts. Available with the launch of FCPX 10.0.3 will be the 7toX for Final Cut Pro conversion app for $10. The new 7toX for Final Cut Pro offers full import functionality that will allow users to convert their older project files into FCP X events.

  • Multicam support
  • Broadcast Monitor support (up to 64 camera angles available)
  • Layered PSD files
  • Media relink
  • Advanced chroma keying
