Apple Motion – Using The Replicator

Use the replicator to create replications of an object in Motion.

For instance you can take a shape and replicate it to have multiple instances of the shape appear. You can add dynamics to the replicated objects such as color, size, position.

Add a sequence of animation that spans across all the replicated objects by adding the sequence replicator behaviour to a replicated object. You can add and animate different parameters using the sequence replicator behaviour such as color, rotation, scale, position and more.

Here is an example of simple replication and animation using the sequence replicator behavior… Video tutorial

Here is another example. Video tutorial

Create a shape in Motion and with the shape selected click the replicate button.

From the Inspector Replicator Tab set the parameters for the replication to grow or change color or do what ever else. Then add a sequence replicator behavior to replicate the behaviors of a sequence.
